It’s the holiday season. A time to give thanks, count blessings and spend a ton of money on last minute gifts. Happy Birthday, Jesus!
It’s also that magical time of year when people spend as much time in the mall parking lot as they do inside the mall buying gifts. The reason? Lost cars. Well, the car isn’t lost, but you’ll be damned if you remember where you parked. Maybe the Cinnabon is hazing the memory a little.
Well the time has come to use your cell phone to remember where you parked the car. It’s as simple as asking Siri. Here’s a great tip from iDownloadBlog on how to use Siri to find your car.
How To Use Siri To Find Your Car
Starting with iOS 10, your Maps app can remember where you parked your car. You can configure it to do this automatically, but in circumstances where you don’t have a compatible head unit, this isn’t going to work. On the other hand, whether you have a compatible head unit or not, you can alternatively use Siri to remember where you parked your car manually.
Once you engage Siri, you can say something like, “Hey Siri, remember where I parked my car.” This will make Siri put a car icon in the Maps app where you told her to mark your parking spot. As long as the parking location is marked, you can launch the stock Maps app on your iPhone and easily get walking directions to your parked car.
Fantastic idea. Then after you’ve found your car, iDownloadBlog suggests saying something like, “Hey Siri, forget where I parked my car.” This will erase the location.
Finally, ask Siri, “how far do I have to walk to work of this Cinnabon?” You’ll thank me later.
