Man Makes Olympic-Themed Art From Toast

Olympic Toast

Historically, Olympic athletes and breakfast foods have been more or less limited to appearances on Wheaties boxes. One man, however, is hoping that this standard is toast.

Literally toast.

Instagram user Adam Perry began to flood his account with toast sculpted in the likenesses of Olympic athletes. And we’re not talking about those plain-looking silhouette-looking images burned onto one side of the bread that various religious figures and Elvis routinely appear in. Perry actually takes the time to sculpt small 3D figures of Olympic stars like Usain Bolt and Mo Farah out of toasted bread. According to CBS Sports, Perry has made “toast art” for quite some time prior to the 2016 games in Rio.

In addition to the athletes, Perry has also used toast to sculpt other Olympic aspects, such as the Christ the Redeemer statue that watches over the city and the five-ring Olympic logo. Prior to the summer games, his toast art has covered subjects from landscapes to Wimbledon to even local TV news stations.

It’s no secret that every Instagram user posts pictures of their food. At least Adam Perry makes it interesting to look at.

We can only wonder what he could do with a few slices of bacon.
